jersey-ta-jimf-2016Parish and Island militias gave service to the Crown until 1945, when the unit was disbanded. The Royal Militia re-formed as the Jersey Field Squadron in 1988.

Field squadron members have supported operations in Kosova, Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan. They continue to support the regular army with recent deployments to Belize, Kenya, Canada and Australia. As a Royal Engineer unit, the Jersey Field Squadron is involved locally in community projects and provides support, if required, to the emergency services.

Drill nights take place every Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm.

The Jersey Field Squadron will be assisting at JIMF 2016 with logistics, hosting the White Helmets and generally providing a support structure.
