Road Closures

Thursday 30th May, 2019
7pm until 11.30pm – Subject to Confirmation

To accommodate the kart racing, closures will be in effect from 7pm until 11.30pm at Victoria Avenue traffic lights, at the junction of La Route de St Aubin, and at the end of Victoria Avenue to the traffic lights at the eastern side of the junction with the spur road at First Tower (to include Tyneville Lane and Paris Lane from their junction with La Route de St Aubin).

Between 6.45pm and 11.30pm, closure of the Promenade and the cycle path and gardens on the seaward side of Victoria Avenue from a point directly in line with the traffic lights at the eastern side of the junction with the spur road at First Tower to a point directly in line with the junction of Victoria Avenue and The Esplanade.

Car Parking will be suspended on the south side of Victoria Avenue in lay-by 1 between 2pm and midnight, and lay-by 2 between 4pm and midnight.

Saturday 1st June 2019
9.30am until 6.30pm – Subject to Confirmation

The Westmount Hillclimb is due to take place between 9.30am and 6.30pm. Westmount Road will be closed from its’ junction with St Aubin’s Road, to the old entrance to The Overdale Isolation Hospital.

There will be no car parking in the top lay-by at Westmount Hill from 6am to 7pm, and a suspension of the bus schedule between 10am and 6pm.

Friday 31st May 2019
7pm until midnight – Subject to Confirmation

To accommodate the Sprint, roads will be affected at Le Fregate, with a single carriageway to Victoria Avenue, and closures from the traffic lights at the junction of La Route de St Aubin at the eastern end of Victoria Avenue to the traffic lights at the eastern side of the junction with the spur road at First Tower (to include Tyneville Lane and Paris Lane from their junctions with La Route de St Aubin).

Car Parking in the lay-bys will be affected, with parking suspended between 2pm and midnight in lay-by 1 and between 4pm and midnight in lay-bys 2 and 4.

Sunday 2nd June 2019
9am until 4pm – Subject to Confirmation

Mount Bingham is scheduled to take place between 9am and 4pm. Road closures will be in effect at Pier Road from its’ junction with the northern arm of South Hill to Mount Bingham, and between the junctions with Pier Road and Green Street; South Hill, Fort Regent and South Hill car park (east of the recreation area).

Car parking will be suspended between 9am and 4pm at Mount Bingham’s chidrens park and also the use of the reversing bay facilities at Mount Bingham will be suspended.

Suspension of parking on peripheral roads and parish administered land will be in place throughout the JIMF period:

Car park closed 1st June at 6am to Sunday 3rd June 6pm

Peirson Road

No parking from Saturday 2nd 6pm.
Road closures from Sunday 3rd June at 6am to 6pm

Westmount Hill

No parking from Saturday 2nd 6am to 7pm in top lay-by
